Yenişehir (Yenişehir, meaning “new city”) is an urban planning area in the Arnavutköy district (Arnavutköy) in north-west Istanbul, on the European side. It is not the town of Yenişehir in Bursa province, nor the Arnavutköy neighbourhood on the Bosphorus in Beşiktaş.
The area is officially known as the “Yenişehir Reserve Building Area” (Yenişehir Rezerv Yapı Alanı). It is linked to the planning of the Kanal Istanbul project and lies between Istanbul Airport and the planned route of the canal.
The Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change approves the zoning plans for the area in phases, and the plans may be subject to amendments and objections. That is why we check the current zoning status (Imar) of each plot against the official documents before offering it.
